This is a very insignificant project, 4 lofts I believe, but I was wondering what you all would think about it. The building arguably retains absolutely no historical qualities, but it looks very chic and urban. It's also a pretty interesting project, because that area along East Main is so heavily blighted. Actually what it is is 4-story warehouses long-abandoned just stretched out in a row along East Main. The streetscape along there is very nice though. I have some old photos from April of East Main that I intend to repost in the photo forum. Here's this:

There's also a building adjacent or nearly adjacent to 222 E Main that is undergoing a lot of work. Do you know anything about that? It's a larger building than this one.

Honestly I think the building is a little bit ugly, but at least it doesn't look abandoned! The stark white color bothers me. But it is unique, and it'll be a fun place to live for the lucky residents because it looks like a nightclub.

Personally a night club is the last place I'd want to live...


Next door I think is 6 new lofts in another renovation project.

That idea just did not translate. No worries, though. It could easily be improved with some different awnings or planters boxes or something, I would think.

I agree, but I would bet that someone with an eye for modern design could enhance the look of the exterior fairly easily.

Pay me enough money and I could do it.

I would probably take a blowtorch to it. Give it that fire-scarred look... Very modern. Soo hot right now.

Wave some magic crayons and unleash my little daughter...

That would be one very... colorful building.

Give an elephant a bucket of paint to dip his trunk in and throw in a monkey with a paintbrush... Or just throw buckets of paint at it.
