Over here we're having to start completely over, so let's go ahead and have a chat where we shall head this time. Just what will the new and improved version of Urban OK be like?
First of all I propose a completely new direction to take full opportunity of this moment. I know that you all are tired of forum name changes, but I assure you this is the last and it will stick this time. OK Metropolis was something many members had liked when I PMed them to see what their opinion was before this incident occured, so it only seems natural. I'm also going with a more Southern skin. An urban forum can be charming. But I promise you I will get the daisies gone.
Most importantly, this forum WILL die if we don't have active members who post regularly, start topics regularly, etc, etc... and we need new members too. We'll do our part now more than ever to assure a tip-top website, we need you all to do the majority of the work however: enjoying it.
Comments and suggestions are welcome... this is Oklahoma's forum, not mine.

Yes, we can re-start and build all over again... We do need members and the people from Tulsa are hard to get...
Any suggestions on how to attract Tulsa Forumers?
Yeah as long as we get rid of the daisy's were
The nice thing about this forum is that it is fun and easy to post on... No one is really on your shoulders about an issue...
Southern skin--- What do you mean by that?
Spartan65- 08-31-2006
The skin is remeniscent of a Southern USA theme. I like it, if too many don't object we'll go with it.

It would be nice if there were options for skins, this one is a bit too much for me.
Spartan65- 08-31-2006
That was mildly put, wasn't it?
We can do votes. Let me finish this skin and I'll be able to edit other skins more easily once this gets finished. There was a more simple, orange skin I also thought people might like (other than me).

Spartan65- 08-31-2006

Looks too plaidie. Blends well with orginial Windows XP baby theme background. Lets go Neon Red solids

Make it Two--- Change my vote--- You changed the skin fast Spartan
I like it...
Spartan65- 08-31-2006
Done. How do you all like now?
bluedogok- 08-31-2006
I didn't expect it to be changed so quickly as I know it takes time to set these up. One complaint though, this one is way too close to Longhorn orange for my taste, I get to see enough of that color everyday. My wife and I have this aversion to orange, either burnt or that safety orange of the "other" state school. I know....never satisfied
The other one would be nice as an option for those who so desire it, but that would not be me

Live-able. Ss soon as I find the original Admin pass and user for http://urbanok.9.forumer.com I'll see about seeing exactly Dude KoL done. maybe save what's there. Later guys.

I like the colors here a lot better than the old tans and browns at UrbanOK. Cleaner and fresher look. Doesn't seem cluttered.
One of the things I feel most important about keeping the spirit of UrbanOK as an OKLAHOMA FORUM is our smaller city communities. Our Enid and Lawton members were very good, and I'd like the small-city discussion forums to be very active in the future, because they don't have any other place online to discuss their issues.
Maybe we could use the hacking as leverage to get a mention of OKMetropolis in Lawton or Enid newspapers? Local Discussion Website Hacked?

If we went with the old skin, but without those bulky pictures under the root forum names on the index, would you all like that?

Hope this forum comes back. Sorry that it got hacked into. Hope it does well Spartan.
