I think it could be neat if it was competely gutted and renovated, reinforced, reconstructed basically... but why do you say?

I think they could work it into the plan of their hotel... There are several midrises surrounding the main tower in their rendering, so why not just make this one of those midrises. I know the TulsaNow Organization wouldn't be very happy with a demolition.
Analysis of the Need and Feasibility for Additional Hotel Development in Downtown Tulsa
It’s like 300 pages long and has all the reasons why we need another hotel...
A lot of statistics...

I checked on Emporis's website the other day and sure enough it has this project as "proposed." I just wanted to see how up-to-date their website was. I was glad to see they are on top of things. They also have the Utica Place development, but it is not considered a highrise. Oh, they also stated that the proposed Westin would be 15 stories tall. I was curious about that, since it never stated that in the World article.

Not once. Hey did it mention how tall it'd be?
Hey, welcome back Tshane!

Welcome Tshane---
So it is 15 floors... I understood about the Utica Place... Its considered a mid-rise but it should be on that list...

Actually, no it did not, but it shows it as being the #44th tallest building ever built, thought about being built or demolished in the city (just slightly taller or about the same height as the Warren Clinic Building on South Yale). It also did not have any renderings.
There are also about 5 buildings surrounding the hotel... Where the retail and town homes are going to be... I count 4 floors on those buildings...

Does anyone know the timeline on this project being approved by TDA or the city and whether or not it will be completed by the time the Arena opens? Does anyone think they might reopen the RFP again, since there was only one proposal submitted? It would be nice if this things grand opening could coincide with that of the BOK Center, don't ya think. Plus, I am eager for a new scraper to be built in downtown.

If TDA gives it the yellow light and tries to find something else, do you think it would land a bigger fish? I think so...
As far as timeline goes, I was under the impression that they were supposed to have picked a proposal by now had there been multiple pickins, but now they will try and negotiate terms... obviously.

Every time I ask someone, they say the city is still working on it... They are still trying to figure out the demands section... I am 75% sure that this is the project the city well pick... They have stopped taking proposal's for the land so if there was a group they haven’t mentioned any to me...

They alluded to having more proposals that were submitted in press releases. Supposedly this was all baloney?
