The people who are going to put up the fight is the county... I wonder what people in Owasso would say to this... The River doesn't reach them...
I stand with a vote with Tulsa County... The counties live around Tulsa and that is the Heart of the county... When Tulsa is doing well, everyone well be doing good...

Well I talked to some students about this plan and it was 50/50... I didn't seem to understand what they meant... They just kept saying it was a waste of money...
Waste of money? It is a very creative imagination and not a waste of money... If this project doesn't fit the plan then maybe we can scrape some of it...
The Channel's --- There is something we can take from it and use it to develop that part of the Arkansas River...

We can't scrap any of it because the stakeholders say that it's not up for change. They claim to be open to opinions, but they've reinforced that basically their minds are made up... kind of strange. Yeah everybody let's give them our opinions if they want them so bad...

They also said that they weren’t the developers and they would hand it down to the group that takes the project...
Yeah they well take your opinion but the design won't change... They really aren’t good at this are they.
Half the city hates them for bringing this case up but that half also talked about development in Tulsa and why is it so BORING...

Bixby delays consideration of river development plan 9/12/2006
Arkansas River projects enhancing the suburbs would be added on top of the $600 million public portion of The Channels river proposal should it be presented to voters next year, a county commissioner said Monday.
The Channels is a $788 million river development proposed by Tulsa Stakeholders Inc., to create a 12-mile lake and three linked islands between the 21st Street and 11th Street bridges.
"This is not just The Channels," Tulsa County Commissioner Randi Miller said. "This is the incorporation of a complete river package that incorporates all the bits and pieces of funding we've been able to allocate from previous funding packages."
The Bixby City Council had been scheduled to discuss possible support for The Channels at its Monday night meeting but City Manager Micky Webb said earlier in the day the agenda item would be struck.
