All of the Foley's in the metro were converted to a Macy's. This included the struggling one at Crossroads Mall. Macy's at Crossroads? Who wants to guess how long it will stay open?

There was a story in the Daily that was about the new Macy's at Penn Square. They conveniently left out all mention of the one at Crossroads.

I think a Macy's at Penn Square and Quail Springs is about time, but... Crossroads?

Macy's stores open in three OKC metro malls

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ All of a sudden, Oklahoma City has three Macy's department stores.

Shoppers across the nation gathered yesterday for the convergence of more than 400 department stores into Macy's stores. Those include the former Foley's stores at Penn Square, Quail Springs and Crossroads malls.

In all, there are now more than 800 Macy's stores.

Penn Square Macy's manager Angie White says her 140-member staff was so excited they volunteered to work yesterday.

At each new Macy's location, the first 500 customers yesterday were given gift cards, all but three of which were worth 10 dollars. One was worth one-thousand dollars and two were worth 500 dollars.

I haven't been into the Penn Square store since the change from Folly's to Macy's. Is there much change to the merchandise selection or brands offered? or is it just Folly's with a new name? Actually, I couldn't see much difference between Dillard's and Folly's before. Is Macy's a big change?

I think its just the name...

They do carry more expensive brands.

That about the only thing... Well it be better than what Dillard's has...
