Why does the west line end in the middle of Bethany? And also why is there this huge triangle in the middle of OKC? Man, that map pales in comparison to the one you made for Tulsa, traitor!

And for the record, I support the Earnest Istook stance on light rail. It's not for OKC because we don't have the density needed to make that a success. It just won't work out, and it wouldn't work when finished if we start in a year.

OK, here's a new map. I'll add the stations later. The opaque-ish purple is commuter rail, and the purple with the white stripe is light rail.



Ideally the commuter system would just connect with a light rail system, the only differance being the times at which trains run (commuter rail only runs during commuter hours). I think the best time for commuter trollies to run would be 6-11 and 2-7.

Oh and I added the Crosstown Expressway and the new OK 152 segment west between I 44 and Mustang, which are near finished or finished. I also added where I think a Norman loop is imperitive and where OK 74 needs to be upgraded to freeway north of Memorial Road.

I think at the very least, the North-south from Edmond to Norman would work, and the downtown light rail would work. Especially if light rail or streetcar could be offered for free downtown.

I added a leg to the Meridian Line because FAA because for the amount of rail I added, you get a lot more bang for your mileage if you include FAA.

I still think that commuter rail can work. The argument is we Okies love our cars to much to ride, bunk. Everyone I know who travels to Chicago, D.C., St. Louis, ect raves about the ease of getting around on the subway systems,
It can work here, and needs to be built now, before we have to have it, rather than waiting till we can not build it with out tearing up buildings.
