Well I don't have any pictures to show you, but the Spain Park HS area of Hoover (the other HS in Hoover) is just like that....only the whole area is packed with whole neighborhoods like that. I have a relative that lives there, so I'm not just talking out of my rear. I should note that they don't support activities as well as Oklahomans do. Schools tend to no spend large $$ on things like gyms or football fields. It's due partly to the cost of land there because of the mountains. Flat land like that is pretty hard to come by, and it makes homes cost more than they would here. So it doesnt surprise me that the district wouldnt want to build a new stadium....it would be way more expensive than it would be to build one here. Unless they have a site on campus, (which looking at a google earth image, i dont think they do), it makes it difficult.

If the Union-Jenks rivalry never existed, what would be Oklahoma's fiercest rivalry?

Moore vs. Westmoore 3%
Edmond-Santa Fe vs. Edmond North 1%
Idabel vs. Broken Bow 1%
Sapulpa vs. Sand Springs 47%
Lawton vs. Lawton Ike 0%
Pryor vs. Claremore 1%
Cleveland vs. Hominy 19%
Sulphur vs. Davis 3%
Wagoner vs. Coweta 23%
Cascia Hall vs. Holland Hall 1%

KTUL POLL It isn't far, because only Tulsa Voter's voted on it...

Moore War drew over 30,000... Cleveland vs. Hominy? Wagoner vs. Coweta?

RAGE- 09-07-2006
I don’t know how many people go to the Union Jenks game but it always a lot of people... They always want to wack the heck out of each other...

I was the one of the people that voted for Moore War...

Well now those pictures are hardly a fair representation of either city. Tulsa isn't all nice homes...there's trash there just like everywhere else. And B'Ham isn't all junk either. So don't post a picture of a neighborhood like that and call it done...cause it's not. If I posted a picture from Gallardia, would you assume that all of OKC was 4 million dollar homes?

Spartan65- 09-08-2006
Well all of OKC is basically boring tract housing... so post a picture of that.

Thats true, not all Tulsa is like that but most of South Tulsa and Midtown make up for it...

Hoover-- They have a football team-- Is that all? What else to do in Hoover, Drive into B-Ham...

Roughers Look To Deal Out Rare Defeat In Series With Union
September 13, 2006

The Muskogee Roughers have been the red-headed stepchild of Class 6A in northeastern Oklahoma -- always being overshadowed by Jenks and Union. But, they hope to change things this year, and it starts with Friday night's road contest at 0-2 Union.

Union has dominated the series since 1990, winning 13 of 16 games played. The last time Muskogee won was on Halloween Night 1997, when then-Union quarterback Josh Blankenship was intercepted five times -- two of which were returned for touchdowns in a 25-13 Rougher victory.

Union has won the last seven meetings by an average of 43-to-11.

But, this year, Union comes in limping from a pair of defeats to start the season. While losing to Hoover, Alabama in week one stung a bit, nothing hurt more than losing the annual Backyard Bowl to cross-town rival Jenks last Friday.

Union scored an apparent touchdown to take the lead with just 39 seconds in the game, only to have it brought back on a penalty. The Redskins lost 9-to-6 to slip to 0-and-2 for the first time in 13 years.

Meanwhile, Muskogee -- ranked number one in the AP poll for the second straight week -- has had little problem in their first two games, winning by double digits against both Broken Arrow (26-16) and Norman North (33-14).

Friday night's game will be played at Union-Tuttle Stadium beginning at 7:30 p.m.
