It isn't that the state of Texas has any control over the Big 12, just the state schools in the league.

I would imagine that Oklahoma has some control on the movements of OU or OSU, it may not be direct approval like here but they wouldn't want to upset the ones who send them money.

I grew up there, my parents moved up there from Altus when I was 6 months old in 1964. I lived there until 1991 when I was laid off and had a hard time finding anything, so I moved to Dallas in 1991. I moved back to OKC in 1993 and moved to Austin in 2003 to get married. We briefly flirted with the idea of moving back when I had trouble finding a job down here but I finally found a commercial architecture job here. Way too many small residential designers here.

Yes of course. Not that I think he would have tried to get TU in the Big 12.

TU should play OU for the heck of it this year and see who is the best in the State...

TU needs a new stadium... The one they are in is from 1940's and they have plans to start renovating it next year but why not just build a whole new stadium...

It is a historic stadium but it looks bad... The grand Stand is just ugly and the paint is coming off the poles... The Visitor stands are very nice.. They are Art Deco... It looks cool...
