Okay, I hunted Spartan down on the Houston Architecture forum to find out what happened to UrbanOK. I hope the hacker who attacked it gets a case of crabs!
In any case, I'm back!! Will repost some photos soon.

Yeah, I have a 5-day weekend that started yesterday (took yesterday off to cope with the forum and I had to go into work in the AM for a meeting) so we should be able to get back on our feet hopefully.
This will be a new and improved version, I'm confident.

Yeah, I think he really just moved the site to hide from me but it didn't work!
Hopefully we will not get the spammers wanting to enlarge "Little TMC" over here either.

Lol...
The reason we got those was because I stepped down registration security. I noticed there was a huge gap in our membership count. We actually had around 400, but half didn't count because they never validated, so when I took validation requirement off it looked like membership counts really took off.
400 members sure sounds a lot better than 200. Actually we had almost 500 around the time we lost it all I think.
I don't think the perception of new members was worth spam though.

Yeah, it's hard to find the best choice between validation-required membership and free-for-all membership. Some people will join on the spur of a moment to post a reply right away, and don't want to spend 10 minutes registering to do it, but if they can do it instantly they might post a reply and then get hooked on the forum. Then again, the instant registration is what made all the spammers attack our forum.
