The Oklahoma Sooners loaded up to Sooner Schooner and traversed America, as the team and the Pride of Oklahoma were to show up to play a heck of a game in Eugene, Oregon, in what would go down as the Game of the Season. It would have been the Game of the Century, (remember the OU/Nebraska game that's currently billed the Game of the Century was last century).

Except there was a theft. Adrian Peterson and the Sooner offense blew the game wide open for the Sooners in the last half, like they have done three games in a row now, only to allow Oregon to slowly score a touchdown, and then attempt on on-side kick. A Duck touched the ball after the kick before it went 10 yards; by regulation it was OU's ball. The ball was given to Oregon instead, and after reviewing the undisputable video evidence, the call was still not fixed. Then there was a roughing the passer call on a pass that was already dead. Both plays stood, ultimately giving Oregon the game on a silver platter, despite the obvious evidence that Oklahoma was being screwed by the NCAA refs, as always.

Furthermore I would like to recall a game against Texas Tech last year, where the running back carrying the ball for Tech never reached the end zone, and nor did the ball, but after falling and in the mayham dog pile for the fumble, sneaked the ball across the line and the refs bought it.

The simple fact of the matter is that the tradition of refs screwing OU is almost as great as the tradition of great ball in Norman. The NCAA refs are slimy and sucky, and they've costed the university a lot of success. Instant review does not work either, and it always has resulted in less quality in refereeing, as the refs fall back on review.

The system needs to be revised or the NCAA needs to be sued by OU for every penny their worth. They need to feel the pressure for the recent past.
