First of all, before I begin this thread, I want to mention how this was done on the old forum, which is the same as we will be doing it now. The deadline has been moved back from New Year's to Martin Luther King Day, obviously. This is to give those of you that submitted plans via email or PM to recoop and recreate your plans.

For those of you that are new, I will fill you in on what's up. This is a contest we're having to see who can come up with the best Maps II. Submit them to us before the deadline, going by the following guidelines, and we will vote on them to determine the best after MLK Day.

The guidelines are:

Oh and to clear this up, I chose to say Maps II instead of Maps III, but perhaps I should instead name it Maps For Grown-Ups II if that removes any confusion?

This is a contest we've been doing that's gotten a lot of really interesting response, and that's the one thing that we want to remembered for. We thought it would make us more unique from other forums if we did something cool like this. If you ever see another forum do anything like this, just know that we were the first, and that this is a project we've had in the works forever it seems.

That is all. I would love to start debate on this, but I don't know how a new version of Maps is very good for debate. "I concur" isn't much in the way of debate.

I suspect, or rather know, that the reason this isn't being worked on right now is because elections are going on, and you can't run for office and impopse taxes at the same time. But let's face a simple fact. OKC has slowed down, and it's frustrating for some. It's not frustrating for me, because behind the scenes it's exhilerating, but I do look up the turnpike, at all of their announcements recently, and particularly at smaller shows like Omaha, and see all of their announcements and can only wonder what it's like behind their scenes. There have not been any announcements for new high-rises in OKC. In Tulsa and Omaha, there have been new high-rises proposed. In Tulsa, there's been a new Westin high-rise proposed and a whole island of high-rises proposed (if it even has a prayer).

Regardless of whether or not there are plans for something like that in OKC, there have been no announcements. Nothing beyond an insider's word and all the rumours in the world. Does that sustain?

Not for me. Something needs to be done to put more steam in the engine.
