Actually I think Cheesecake is the most upscale and pickiest of all of them. First our state laws need to be edited allowing beer to be sold in grocery stores.

The State Law does need editing... We need Whole Foods... I can see Whole Food's opening up at 61st and Yale and there was talk about it, but the state laws get in the way...

Cheesecake-- The demographics they need and the selection per year is hard to get on...

They are building a Lowes and that sort of brings it down a little in the upscale thing they are going for..

We need an Outlet Mall people... A huge Outlet mall along a Highway would be nice to see someone build that... Many stores would come to the center and the Nike Store would even be there... Nike Store my favorite biggrin.gif

Again, it says rumored, but it's on the first page, 6th paragraph. It's the first that I had heard or seen JC Penneys associated with the area.

Spartan65- 09-15-2006
Well anything they put there would be a sure-fire hit, and at least it's something other than another Kohl's or Belk's.

If they were going to put a Jcpenny's, that would fit in well... I like Jcpenny's, there clean and it is affordable price...

I remember them saying that in September they would release the list of tenants that have signed already... So maybe tomorrow or next week...

Spartan65- 09-15-2006
That would be interesting. But I'm sure with something like Whole Foods it would take a while of negotiations.

RAGE- 09-15-2006
If Whole Foods decided's to build there, then I don’t think they would put a Jc Penny's next to it...

I went to there website to look for locations and it seemed like one of the only states not on there list is Oklahoma...

Birmingham is getting one! Come on people, if it’s the liquor laws that are holding back companies from opening in Oklahoma, then let’s get rid of them...

Personally I'm Catholic (which if you ask anyone else around here means I'm hell-bound basically) and I just have to scoff at the Jerry Falwell types and how they've always ran the state capital. No respect intended toward the actual people, I'm sure Jerry Falwell types are friendly people, but it's a skewed reality nonetheless. And a very stupid law. Now the real morality issues I can go for, I might be a little bit more interested in the gay marriage debate, and in the One Nation Under God debate, but liquor in grocery stores? Gimme a break!

I was in Dallas and stopped by the new Whole Foods in Arlington-- I was impressed with the selection they have... From Lamb to Snapper... They even had my favorite Cheese from the Middle East... They had a large selection of wine...

I say a store called

Rooms To Go

http://www.roomstogo.com/

This store sounds like a good fit... They don’t have a store in Oklahoma yet... I can see them opening up in Tulsa... Fits the profile...

It’s smaller than Ikea, and it offers the largest furniture inventory... Being so close to Oklahoma, this might be a store we can see hitting the market...

These are the States they have a store in them already (all southern states)
Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Mississippi
North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee
Texas
