What candidate that is running for governor do you think is a shoe-in?

Earnest Istook has a decent economic principle he's discussed, except for one glaring error: his stance on light rail.

But Brad Henry is too popular even if I did like Istook. Not that Henry can afford to sleep. I won't be voting for either though...

I'm pulling for Istook. I think this state's ready for a change.

I'm wishing Bob Sullivan won the GOP primary. He would have been a fantastic governor. All of the moderate Republicans like me were pulling for him, but this just goes to show that there's no room for moderates in politics anymore.

I take it we're both Republicans, while your less hopefull than I am?

The national party no longer supports moderates, they are as worthless to them as democrats since they will not always fall in lock step with the party machine.

I was an Oklahoma Republican and somewhat active in the Young Republicans many years ago, lets just say my exposure to some of them showed me what politics and showed my what politcs had become and turned me off of it. Before I moved I voted for Henry because I felt Largent was too far right for my liking and Henry seemed more like a moderate, atleast more moderate then Largent. Istook is someone that I never voted for and would never vote for.

Change is never going to happen until the two-party system is defeated and real alternatives exist. Right now all the two parties are trying to do is maintain their existing power bases.

I really hope Bob Sullivan shows up on the ballad again in 2011.

It's not my fault so many people are in the wrong party. If you don't like it, switch. The third parties would love to have you all.

Third parties aren't very functional because most states don't even put them on the ballot.
